Paul's brother interviews him...

An Interview With My Brother
by Aaron Campanella

Q: Yo. So how's Evil Jake goin'?
A: Very well. Working hard on the new record. It's going to be BIG.

Q: Big? How?
A: Sounds. Production. Hype. All that good Rock and Roll stuff.

Q: What's the title gonna be?
A: The working title is "Be My Ex-Girlfriend" - That's one of our more popular songs in our live show. It was on the first EP "Music To Strip By" and will be on the new cd as well.

Q: You said to mom that people were singing the words to that song at your last show in New York. Is that true?
A: Totally. A room of like 100 people were singing the chorus. It was very cool.

Q: That's Cool.
A: Yeah.

Q: Dude, I just got the new Silverchair cd. It's awesome.
A: I'll have to borrow it.

Q: So when will your new cd be done?
A: There's a chance it might be out in time for Christmas but, we will soon see. You can pre-order it on our website though. Drop 13 bucks on a credit card and we'll send it to ya as soon as we get it.

Q: I don't have a credit card. But I did just get my driver's license.
A: Sweet.

Q: So are you going on tour or something?
A: Hell yeah. Probably in February or March. We will need to play for the people of the world so we can get them all happy and drunk and make them buy our new cd.

Q: Where will you tour?
A: Wherever we possibly can. After we get our van fixed, of course.

Q; Isn't that the van you got from Macy Gray? What happened to it?
A: Yeah. From the commercial. Um...It won't start...I hope the ol" girl is all right.

Q: Dude, what is your bass player's name? Leatherbong or something? And why is there a picture of a shark on your website?
A: David Leatherwood. He's a total rock star and a Mother F%#*ker of a bass player. The shark was left over from our old bass player who didn't like to look at pictures of himself online. We just left it up. Thought it was funny.

Q: Do you think you guys will get a record deal soon? Cause you're like getting old and stuff.
A: If it's meant to be, then, it will be. We're just concerned with making the best record we possibly can and playing our asses off onstage. And I'm not getting old. I am the youngest in the band at 22.

Q: Yeah. R I G H T....
A: I am.

Q: Shit! I gotta go. Mom asked me to take out the garbage like 4 times already!
A: Uh...Ok...
